I teach financial concepts to non-licensed individuals who want the same information as those in the financial services industry without the jargon and sales pitch.

I help regular people understand financial concepts to feel a sense of confidence in their decision-making. I start with support, education, resources and just as importantly, accountability. I believe that sometimes the only thing standing between you and your dreams are the proper resource, knowledge and action steps to achieve them. I’m the founder and managing partner of nBalance Financial, a financial therapy and retirement plan strategy firm based in Boston MA.

Loneliness and isolation aren’t just bad for our mental health, they can also lead to poor financial decisions and overspending. In this episode of On the Money TODAY, Stephanie Ruhle talks to financial therapist George Blount about how to identify and correct bad spending habits that may have been triggered by pandemic-related stress.
Have you visited a Financial Therapist before? This week’s episode of the PeopleNova Podcast we chat with the first one I ever met. We know that most humans have an emotional relationship to money. We know which of our friends calculates their dinner bill to the exact amount. We know which family member is always keeping up with the Joneses. The fascinating part of our conversation is how pure economic models never took into account the human brain making money decisions. Join this week’s episode to chat about how to grow Black prosperity with our guest, George Blount.
I enjoyed the opportunity to work with the Global Thinking Foundation USA to present: “Sports: The New Era of Wellness.” This 3-part documentary uses and explores conversations with athletes, pros, and at the collegiate level, as a tool to study financial literacy as the foundation for understanding and analyzing the impact of mental health, equality, and equity in our local communities and beyond.
